I finally finished my quilt for the FSQS summer edition... I just hope that my secret partner likes it. Because I REALLY wanted to keep it for myself by I won't. But I did take a picture so that I could share it with others. I used the scraps of these fabrics for this little lovely. It measures approx 17x19 a nice little doll quilt.

Yippeee!!

I got a package in the mail from my partner from the Favorite Things Swap. It is from Marla over at kindasortasomething.
Here is what she sent me:
a note pad with a magnet on the back which will look great on my message board, a package of skinny writing sharpies in awesome colors and a luggage tag with my name on one side and my address on the other. Also check out her personalized note cards aren't they the coolest???
Thanks Marla I looooove them. I use my sharpies almost every day just to write lists hehe.

Four Seasons Quilt Swap Summer Quilt

I am really bad. I received a beautiful quilt from Julia for the summer edition of the FSQS the first part of July and am just now getting around to posting about it. But since our new addition I have been a little busy. Any way the quilt is just beautiful. It is more like a work of art than a quilt.

Thanks Julia for your beautiful work of art.

Blogiversary Coming Up...

I just realized that my 1 year blogiversary is coming up on July 24th. I am amazed that I have stuck with this so long. Because when I first started I really didn't have much to talk about. This past year I have been involved in some wonderful swaps and "met" some wonderful friends out here is blogland.

As a thanks for visiting my blog and being my friend I must give out gifts.

So anyone to post a comment between now and midnight on July 24th will be put in a drawing for a gift. Because isn't that what blogiversarys are all about??

I think so.

Iam so excited to introduce to you the newest addition to our family. I have had to keep it a secret since April... Now the big reveal... A Date with "Ginger and Amy".

I am so in love with these fabrics. It is a mix

of Amy Butler's Midwest Modern and Ginger Blossom but I also noticed a Kaffe Fassett print in there too. It is the 4th from the left. Anyway these little beauties (all 18 of them) are going into a quilt. I will post when finished.

FSQS Spring Quilt finally finished

I hope my partner likes it.. because I love it! It will be going into the mail tomorrow.

The inspiration for this quilt is from Amy over at Happythings.

Look what I did!

I just refinished this hutch and now it sits in my sewing room. I should have taken some before pictures of it but forgot...sorry... It was my husband's grandma's and was very dated dark stain with leaded glass windows where the fabric covered wood is now. It had brass fillagree hardware.

Now it is a lovely heirloom white with glass knobs and fabric decoupaged to wood where the glass once was.

Now it is a beautiful home for my scrapbooking supplies.

A special thanks to my sweet husband for helping with the parts I couldn't do myself.

My little swimmer

Little Bug started swimming lessons a couple of weeks ago. This is a picture of her on her first day. She takes swimming 2 days a week and on the 3 lesson the instructor had them jump off the diving board! They had life jackets on... but I was so proud of bug for being brave enough to be the first one in her class to jump off! Especially since she doesn't like getting water in her eyes when we wash her hair. She is the one with the pink swimming suit on.

Off to a great start!

I just finished my first quilt of the new year. I t is actually a Christmas present for my mom and dad that I will be personally delivering to them on Saturday. I jusst love how it turned out.

The best part is that my mom doesn't know that we are coming, she also knows about the quilt but thinks that it is for my bed. Don't ya just love surprises??

Amanda at crazymomquilts has inspired me to finish more quilts this year. So far I am off to a great start.
